Anchor Patients

Transferring Care from Anchor Medical?

 

We were saddened to hear of the impending closure of Anchor Medical, which reflects the steep challenges facing independent primary care in Rhode Island. At Arches, we are working hard to preserve vital access to primary care for all adults, and we want to support Anchor patients in any way possible.

 

Today we are accepting new patients (18 and up) at all of our primary care sites—in Cumberland/Brookside, East Providence, East Greenwich, Coventry, Wakefield—and have several new providers joining in the coming months to expand access further.

 

To help facilitate transfer of care from Anchor to Arches, please fill out the attached form to request an appointment and have your records forwarded from Anchor to our Athena medical record. We will call you to confirm availability and schedule.

 

Additionally we can provide same day care immediately today at one of our walk-in sites (Smithfield, Cumberland and Coventry) or via a telehealth appointment. This is great for sick care but also as a bridge for chronic condition needs (including non controlled substance refills) and as preparation for your well visit with a PCP.  Walk-ins are always welcome at any of our Urgent Care sites for immediate care.
